Death Comes Knocking

Image collected on -The Rjukan project-Sometimes we need motivation to get things done. Here’s one.

You’re going to die

Soon there will be blackness. You won’t be aware of the blackness. It will not be frightening, or pleasant. And after that, I don’t know…

You can pretend that everything matters. You can pretend you are invincible. You can pretend whatever you want, because life is a game, and self-delusion is the rule most followed.

You have the right to pretend

So when you see that task unfinished, that girl you want to seduce, remember this fact: You will be dead soon. So spend your time accordingly.

Everybody you know, will be dead. Every blade of grass, every tree, every dog and cat at some point will perish.

There is no point. None of this matters. Not your car, your job, your drama, your libido, your cool shoes, your favourite coffee shop, your wifi speed, your hair.

You are strapped to this body, the only one you’ve got. You own this brain and this ego and if you’re a lucky one you were born on Elysium and you have resources to spare. No need to scurry at dark from cannibalistic rape gangs or beg at the tires of U.N. food trucks.

So face your fucking fears, get it done, and enjoy this little ride called “Human.”

It’s a short one.
