I have guys that email me asking how much my bootcamps are; I don’t know if they are too lazy to look at my sales page or they think I might change the price, just for them. However when I tell them the cost they say, “Oh, I’m a lowly student/divorcee/alcoholic and cannot afford such an expense.

I get it. It’s hard to make a buck these days. Girls can get expensive too. Damn, even toilet paper costs money.

I used to be a broke ass sucker as well. Once for about a week I was a dumpster diver. I learned how to live off garbage from a bunch of pill popping hipsters. Even though I don’t make a lot of cash compared to a middle class white collared worker, I live below my means so that I can save money. For me, money equals time. The more time I have, the longer I can live without being a slave at a job that does nothing for the soul. If your job fills your bank account, but not your soul, if it leaves you a hollow husk, then you need to ask yourself if the payday is worth it. Remember how long you stayed with that terrible woman when you should have left her and hunted down a better girl? Same thing.

Living below your means

I don’t buy every newest apple product, I don’t drive a car, I eat at home more than I eat out, I don’t have a girlfriend with expensive tastes, I don’t have children (thank god), and I don’t smoke cigarettes. My biggest expenses are that I go out to party far too often and I buy more books than I can read.

Basically, I’m a minimalist

I used to bus tables, before that I installed big screen tvs and stereo systems for rich people. I’ve done all manner of menial labour and I’ll tell you, nothing is as fulfilling as making your own money and being your own boss. I would rather make 30k a year and be able to get up an hour late without being yelled at than make 60k and have two weeks a year vacation time.

I understand that not everybody thinks they have a skill or talent they can sell, but you’re wrong. Everyone has the ability to make extra money on the side. When I started coaching, I just wanted to make a few hundred extra dollars a month. I’m very lucky that I’ve been able to average a few thousand a month. It gives me time to work on my writing, which will in the long run, bring more wealth. What I’m saying is you need to start small, with an idea, a seed.

Here is an exercise to help you start your own business.

Step one: Write down ten of you hobbies or interests. If you think you don’t have ten hobbies or interests, you are just being lazy. Maybe you are interested in rock climbing, but you’ve never rock climbed? Write it down. But try to stick to things you’ve actually experienced.

Here are mine.

1. Writing
2. Pickup and seduction
3. Gaming (Video games)
4. Working out
5. Travel
6. Guitar
7. Music
8. Reading
9. Blogging
10. Sex

Step two: Write down five skills. These are things you know are marketable. Maybe you are a long haul cement truck driver, or a high school math tutor.

1. Pickup and self-development teacher. Dating Coaching.
2. Writing, copy, journalism.
3. Bus Boy. I can bus a mean table.
4. Low voltage wiring/stereo installing.
5. Salesman, telesales.

Step three: I want you to write five short sentences or paragraphs on what you value, and what you want your lifestyle to look like in five years.

1. Freedom. I want the ability to live anywhere in the world, and be able to make a good living. I want to have a better quality of life in a country that costs a fraction of what it costs to live in my current country. I want to live where I am ten times more attractive to the local women so I don’t have to deal with entitled post feminism brainwashed western women.
2. Adventure: I want to meet interesting people that are on their paths. I’d like to learn from great minds. I’d like to see places that others only read about in books or watch on television and Internet. I’d like to date beautiful, exotic women and find love and romance in far-away places.
3. Health: As I get older I want to be in great shape. I want to learn how to eat properly, exercise with consistency and maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle. I want to age like wine.
4. Wealth: I want to grow my income to 100k a year without resorting to working for a company that does not respect me. I want my books to be spread far and wide across the world.
5. Integrity: I don’t want any feelings of guilt. I want to help people and not hurt, or scam them. I want to be close to my family without being limited by them. I want to date multiple women without lying to them. I want to make a living that doesn’t exploit others.

Step Four: Think of ten ways you could make one hundred dollars in the next thirty days using the information above. If you could make that money by mowing lawns, then write it down. If you could teach someone how to master their Muay Thai Clinch, then write that down.

Don’t let your limiting beliefs stop you. If you think you could teach someone how to cook the perfect hamburger, but you don’t own a barbeque, don’t let that stop you. Those are just mental roadblocks. This is an exercise. Assume that YOU CAN do this. Imagine that if you picked only one job off this final list, and dedicated yourself to it, you would make 100k within five years, no matter what.

When I first started coaching, I had NO IDEA what I was doing. I was scared shitless. Nobody knows what they’re doing when they start a business. But when you are being paid, you are forced to step up.

Once you have your final job list, take the items and list them 1-10 in order of your favourites. One being the least interesting and ten being the most.

Step Five: The final step. Write a short advertisement. I use Craigslist. It doesn’t need to be a long advertisement, just a few sentences. The price for your service will be $29.99 plus a review. Here is an example.
