More Than TnA – Women I Admire

I’ve got a thing for talented and prolific girls. These are women who inspire me.

Francesca Woodman:

A young, brilliant, but unrecognized photographer when she flung herself from the roof of her New York artists loft in 1982. She went splat, and her photographs exploded. Francesca left us over 10,000 negatives that her family, also artists, occasionally sell to make mortgage on their beautiful estate.

Her photos are brilliant: Fun, sexy, sombre…exciting. Offering her vulnerable body, entwined with various environments, blendngi textures, demanding focus; she inspired those American Apparel ads. The ones that make you feel things.

The Woodmans  reflects on her luminosity, and watching it you might compare your own attempts at self-improvement as some lazy experiment. Daddy issues are a bad thing right? Her art is of of the obsessed, the Facebook selfie junkie ignored – you are inspired by her effervescence. She’s a firefly.

And really we would never have noticed her if she didn’t kill herself

Which totally like…sucks.

The question is would she have been such a hotshot if she’d not pancaked herself? I think so. Anyhoo, I relate to dedicating yourself to creative life and then feeling like nobody gives a shit. Don’t we all. That’s an eternal feeling. Even for the stars.

What a waste of talent. Cute body too. And it’s probably child pornography because she was 17 but it’s not all that erotic until her older work. Too young just isn’t sexy to me anyway.

Anne Frank

Anne_Frank

In order to avoid the concentration camps thirteen year old Anne Frank and her family hid from the Nazi’s in a secret annex in Amsterdam. They failed miserably, and were mostly murdered, but Anne kept a diary which is one of the most beautifully written and insightful memoirs ever published. It’s poetic, funny and moving. Sure she was arrogant, naive and conceited – but the bitch was thirteen, and by years spent inside the walls she became wise beyond her cliche.

The diary has a sense of impending doom and claustrophobia that is balanced by her humorous anecdotes, or the minutiae of living in a wall space between two bored and terrified families. Hearing her neighbour’s masturbatory audibles. They resembled the slapping of wet fish. Her own internal battles with her mother, and her attraction to a young man whom, even though he’s an awful bore, he’s somewhat handsome?

It’s a damn sad coming of age story, but so adroitly written. What a shame she was ratted out and died in a concentration camp. She would have been a hottie.

Grimes

That voice! Tingles. Girls that can sing give me wood. Especially cute little nerd girls like Claire Bouchet, aka “Grimes.” Sure there are many adorable pixy-hipster pop-stars out there, but Grimes just tickles my fancy. It’s not just how her voice oscillates from mousy squeak to Madonna, but If you regard her lyrics, you’ll find she’s not singing about boys, and being pretty, but exploring gothic oddity and darkness. She’s a little weirdo and I respect her self-made indie rockstar dream come true story. She’s also from Montreal; a city known for producing genius.

I’d chuck it in her.

Sophia Coppola

Sophia Coppola is a terrible actress. Just fucking awful. She raped and mutilated The Godfather.  Now she’s a film Guru. Fuck you Dad. Fuck you. To destroy you, I must become you.

She wrote and directed two of my favourite movies, “Lost in Translation,” and, “Somewhere.” Both films explore fame, sexual attraction, ageism, existential crisis, undeserved recognition (famous daddy syndrome) and the joys and pains of luxury. She also makes great sound tracks. I hope she lives a long a prolific life and continues to create fantastic cinema.

She just gets me, man.

Kezia Noble

Kezia Noble is a female pickup coach for men. Sounds like an oxymoron, but she’s cool. Not only is she super fit, but incredibly sharp too. Her dating and pickup advice is spot on and not watered down by pg-13, politically correct double speak. Sometimes I wonder if she’s a cyborg created by Richard La Ruina, but even if, I’m consistently impressed with her wisdom and charisma. I’m sure she’s taken a lot of slack from haters over the years but she’s more popular than ever these days. Good for her. (Hi Kezia, wink. We’d never get along. Too similar.)

Some guys say that women can’t give dating advice to men. Well, you’re wrong. Because she does, and it’s good stuff.

Conclusion

See, not all women are vacuous smart phone addicted Feminazis. There are plenty of amazing ladies who are doing or have created great things. I’m not saying all women are beautiful creatures to be cherished – only that there is life beyond picking up chicks, and the philosophy of the Manosphere is very limited and childish in scope. Look at the big picture. Who do you look up to and why? Always ask why. And what can you learn from them?

Are there any women you admire? Or want to bang. Whatevs. Post below and let me know.
