So I’m working like mad lately. I have a new Padawan and he’s one of the best students yet. I’ve come to notice what separates guys that learn quickly and guys that don’t. There are several characteristics.

1. Dismissal of Social Conditioning: Basically not giving a fuck what anyone thinks of them. Instead of thinking, “But she’s on the phone,” “What if that’s her boyfriend?” “But she’s too hot!” “But people on the bus will hear me!” Instead of this nonsense you JUST GO. Who cares what they think.
2. Positive Attitude: No excuses, no whining, no complaining. They just do it. Even if they’re having a rough night they laugh it off. They don’t get discouraged because some girl was mean to them or their sets aren’t sticking or they’re getting the, “I have a boyfriend,” line. This is FUN. Talking to girls is FUN. Not scary. Yay! (children cheering.)
3. Trust and obedience: They listen to me, their coach. They don’t question me, or challenge my coaching ideas and make excuses. I know this may sound cultish but it’s just this: I know shit they don’t. The students that jump when I say jump will get the whole coaching experience without any road bumps.
4. They practice without me: My best students come to me prepared. I don’t have to deal with excessive AA because they’ve already dealt with it. I can help a guy get over AA or I can help him get girls. AA bootcamps are incredibly boring and at times ineffective. If a guy has already done many approaches before he meets me, and continues to do so when we’re not together, he’ll do just fine.
5. Failure is not an option: The best students are stuck in a puzzle and have no choice but to figure it out. They want women and will do whatever it takes. It’s not a field trip with a pua for the weekend. They WANT to succeed. It’s about them. Pussy or death!
6. They love learning: The best students are working on other areas of their life. They’re into sports, or school, or career, or anything other than video gaming. They love reading books. They love travel. They usually have small success somewhere else other than with girls. They understand that they can learn to be good at anything they apply themselves to.
7. Work Ethic: They bust their ass. They go out often, five to seven nights or days a week. They actually get depressed if they aren’t working at improving themselves. Instead of watching T.V. they go out. Instead of gaming they go out. They understand this stuff takes years and they’re dedicated to the process instead of the result.
