Are Dating Coach Bootcamps Worth it?
In 2023 I removed Infield training, or bootcamps, from my coaching products.
Why? Well because I’m 45 years old, and after teaching hundreds of infield bootcamps, I’m a bit tired of it. But also, I realized I can get the same, if not better results for clients through long term mentoring – via weekly calls.
Since then I’ve had around a dozen men contact me for training in their cities. Some of them were adamant that I fly across the world to personally teach them how to approach women. Some of them were willing to pay up to $10,000 for a weekend. Absurd!
“I’m retired from infield.” I’d say. “But I do remote coaching. We can talk over video chat, once a week, with weekly missions, homework, recommended reading, guided meditation, personalized strategy, and full texting support…”
Many hesitate, then say: “Nah, I want an infield bootcamp. Thanks anyway.” Then they go off to find some overpriced coach that they’ve hyped up in their imagination.
Since then, I’ve converted a few guys to remote coaching and all of them have made incredible progress, not just in getting more girls, but every aspect of their lives.
While I believe a good approach-coach can help get a guy started, there are some major limitations to infield training.
Limitations of Dating Bootcamps
Let me tell you why you don’t need a bootcamp.
1. They’re way too expensive.
I know some coaches who are charging $3400 or more a weekend in their home cities. That’s absolutely absurd. To be honest, even $2k a weekend is way too much.
I often made the joke on day 1 of my bootcamps, “Congratulations everyone, you just paid me thousands of dollars to give you permission to talk to women.”
I do the exact same thing over Zoom. And if they struggle to get started, I coach them with mindset and hold them accountable until they get out and try on their own, which they always do 80% of the time.
But, if that doesn’t work, I help them find a wingman, and this technique works 100% of the time.
You Do Not Need an Infield PUA Bootcamp
You DO NOT need a bootcamp. You need a partner or someone to hold you accountable. That’s it. If you feel you need to “see it” there are literally hundreds of daygame videos on Youtube.
But maybe you just want someone to yell at you for being a pussy?
If you absolutely feel you need an infield instructor, hire some local kid for $500. You’ll get the same product. Pickup isn’t complicated… YOU make it complicated.
Your $500 coach will tell you to stand up straight and say, “Go talk to her.” Then he’ll watch you from a distance, or give you motivational speeches when you chicken out. If he’s really advanced, he’ll listen to you through a bluetooth microphone, which I can do by live-streaming over video if it’s necessary.
When you’re done your approach, you will return to discuss it. I can do this on the phone, or you can record your approaches with a lapel microphone, we can listen to it together, and discuss it.
All of this you can also get for free with a good wingman. Or at least, a wingman and a great coach, like myself.
2. You don’t learn that much.
After your bootcamp, your biggest epiphany will be, “Wow, this isn’t that hard. I could have done this on my own why did I pay $3400?”
That’s right, $3400 for a typical two-day bootcamp, or $800 for a one-month remote coaching program with yours truly, a dude with fifteen years of experience coaching men to get more and hotter girls.
For $3400 you could have 4 months of private, 1-on-1 coaching (at the time of this posting in Dec 2023).
That’s over sixteen hours, over a quarter of a year, plus full texting support – meaning you can text me anytime you want – with any questions. Once your bootcamp is over, that coach is gone, with your money.
Bootcamps Only Give You Permission to Approach Girls
In my remote coaching, I often get guys to approach women while I coach them live over Zoom or WhatsApp. It’s like I’m there anyway. “Go talk to her,” I say.
If you think you’ll learn more by watching your coach, you won’t. All you’ll see is a dude talking to girls, making them laugh, getting their phone numbers or kissing them, etc. All of that you can see on YouTube for free.
I remember watching all the RSD Hotseat videos and going, “That’s it? That’s what I’ve been doing!”
3. You will lose motivation after the bootcamp
It happens to every guy. If they weren’t inspired to try before the bootcamp, they won’t be inspired after the bootcamp.
This is because they have no support system.
Remote Coaching Holds You Accountable
Remote coaching means you always have me there, to talk to every week, or every day over text, holding you accountable, motivating, educating, hypnotizing, teaching, and more.
Once a bootcamp is over, you’re back on your own without any support, or any experts to answer your questions. You’re back to your Telegram group talking to other guys who don’t know squat.
4. Bootcamps are shallow
All you learn on a bootcamp is how to approach women. And not that deeply.
This is like a sales coaching charging you $3400 to pick up the phone or send an email.
Granted, if you’re doing nighttime, bars, and parties, it is harder to learn on your own than daygame. But still, you don’t learn that much. You just get permission to try.
After the program, you’re back on your own. And you’ll be left with many unanswered questions like:
- How do you overcome your approach anxiety forever?
- What books and videos should you be reading?
- You’re suffering from mild depression at your lack of results. How do you deal with this?
- You got a bunch of phone numbers, what should you be texting?
- You got a date, what do you do?
- You still suck at talking. How do you learn the art of verbal game? How do you practice?
- You still have a ton of limiting beliefs, fear of death, and a scarcity mentality. How do you fix this?
- Women are flaking on you. How do you counter this?
It goes on, and on.
Even if your bootcamp has a six hour seminar before the program, you will forget all of it. You might as well buy a course to study at home.
A two-day bootcamp will not help with any of this. A multi-month remote coaching program will.
Remote coaching goes deep, bootcamps are shallow.
Remote Coaching is Superior to Bootcamps for Long-term Growth
I’ve had students hire more month by month, for over a year. Their growth was tremendous.
I’ve had students go from not getting laid for years, to sleeping with five women a month (that’s a lot for most normal dudes.)
While I’ll never regret my time teaching bootcamps, I can safely say my online 1-on-1 coaching is just as, if not more effective.
This stuff is a long-term process and should warrant a long-term investment.
If you would like invest in your long-term self-development, just grab a free consultation here.
I’ll answer any questions you have, and won’t pressure you to buy.
Until then, get off your phone and go meet more women.
