Tony D Goes YouTube
Hi guys. I’ve ventured amateurishly into the world of YouTube.
In this video I discuss making a first start at any endeavour, and how you must embrace mistakes as part of the learning process.
I also review “Influence” by Robert Cialdini, which is a classic in the self-help/marketing category, and contains much useful knowledge for those of you who wish to improve your lives and gain social power and freedom.
Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion, Revised Edition
If you guys like the video format, encourage me by subscribing on YouTube, commenting and liking the vids. In the future if the videos are popular, I’ll make more.
Enjoy!

Way to push your comfort zone and great first step to video blogging Tony. Having people hear your voice and see your face definitely connects you to your audience in a way that writing alone cannot. This is something I definitely want to do also in the future.
The volume is a bit low even when my laptop is maxed out, perhaps you could invest in a better mic.
Many great podcasters recommend this one. It looks a bit tacky but it’s cheap, reliable and makes a huge difference:

Also, another great book on the topic of influence is “When I Stop Talking, You’ll Know I’m Dead” by Jerry Weintraub. He’s a persuasive deal maker and movie producer who signed Elvis Presley when he was a 26 year old nobody – fascinating story.
Looking forward to more videos of wisdom from you.
