Everything is Awesome
Trigger Warning. This post has nothing to with pickup. There are no tips, or tricks. It’s just a cool story.
The other day I was in a cafe and I was singing, “Everything is Awesome!” to my client, when this little boy looks up and me and sings, “Everything is cool when you’re part of a team!”
“Are you Batman?” I ask.
He does his best Batman impersonation: “I’m Batman.”
“The Lego movie is his favourite movie,” his young auntie tells me.
“Look,” the little kid says, “I only have three fingers!” and pulls out this tiny arm, with three fingers. It looked like a little chicken wing.
“Cool! I have friend with no legs. He was born that way.” I told him.
“Really?”
“Yes. And he’s in a wheelchair.”
“Yeah?”
“He trains dogs for the police, and makes a lot of money. Like one hundred thousand dollars per year.”
“Woa.”
“And he has a hot girlfriend.”
“He does!?” He laughs.
His auntie looks at him and says, “All that matters is confidence.”
“Yeah! That’s about it.” the kid says. “Confidence.” And they walk out into the sunshine. The kid was still singing, “Everything is awesome! Everything is cool when you’re part of a team.”
