A lot of guys are incredibly worried about how to get girls–and they should be. Getting girls is important for a guy’s self-esteem and without the ability to attract women, you are left to fate and luck—both of which are terrible mating strategies.

Let’s look at the nerd-gets-girl romantic comedy. A typical plot line looks like this:

• Nerdy guy meets girl by accident, bumping into her and knocking her text books out of her hand–girl is polite and there is a little bit of sexual tension until her jock boyfriend (cool guy) shows up and blows him out.
• Girl leaves with cool guy.
• Nerdy guy changes his personality and hobbies to be more like the cool/boyfriend guy. Girl is amazed at his transformation and the boyfriend guy gets jealous, acts like an ass and pushes girl towards the newly transformed ex nerdy guy.
• Ex nerdy guy acts like an asshole and the girl leaves him for being a phony.
• Nerdy guy goes back to nerding around, playing WoW and cranking off to Russian Porn.
• Girl admits she loved nerdy guy all along just the way he was and it turns out nerdy guy was always cool, he just needed a life lesson in how to get girls to like him.

The little factor overlooked in this beautiful scenario is that hot girls aren’t into nerds. They’re into brains, courage and brawn…but not awkwardness. The hot girl will almost always prefer the jock, jerk boyfriend over the nice, strange, nerdy guy.

For some reason modern cinema equates “nerd” with “Interesting.” When in reality, nerd means, “Weird, annoying, ugly, boring, gross, creepy, lame.”

Let’s look at teen wolf, the epitome of the nerd-to-cool transformation flick.

Michael J Fox is a nerd. He sucks at sports, he’s puny and socially awkward. Girls don’t like him.

Then he becomes Teen Wolf! Now he’s awesome. He Rides The Whip and wins at sports and dances like a badass and bangs hot chicks.

The sad story here is that Michael J can’t remain a wolf forever. He will eventually be burned at the stake by his haters. Also, the wolf is not the “real” him. The real him is the sensitive, wounded little boy.

So in the end he goes back to being human, with all his human flaws and instead of getting the shallow hot girls he gets the secret hot nerd girl that he didn’t really want. He settles.

Message of the story: Don’t stand out. You’ll be murdered.

Look…you can still be a nerd and get the girl. But realize, most would prefer the wolf, if only for a little while.

Be the Wolf.
